  can we vote for all positions in our district or just for the represtentative in our voting area?

  0 0 It sounds like you'll only be able to vote for the person running in the area that represents you. Unless the candidates are running in what is known as an at-large district, which means that district isn't further broken down geographically, the only people that will be on your ballot will be those candidates running to represent your specific area.   Does the new photo ID law take effect for the recall elections?

  0 0 No. The new Wisconsin Photo ID law does not come into effect until the 2012 Primaries. In the recall election, you will be asked to show a photo ID but you are not required to show one in order to vote.
